Welcome to LRLife.co.uk, the website for the Land Rover Life – On-line community. Originally just a Facebook community we are branching out into the world wide web! As I write this, the first blog of the site, the snow has fallen, and the temperatures have plummeted. Fun times for Land Rover owners indeed. There will, no doubt, be tales of heroic deeds done helping the community or just out having fun in your Land Rovers. Just please be careful.
The purpose of LRLife.co.uk is to promote our community and certain Land Rover events we will be attending and / or organising. The group was initially set up by a small team of people who wanted to go out and enjoy their vehicles. Camping trips, greenlaning and attending shows have been part of our lives for some time after all.
So, what does it mean “Living your best Land Rover Life”. The short answer is many things, and each person will have their own perspective. For some, their Land Rover Life is nothing more than a tool for commuting and doing family activities in a vehicle that you know, when push comes to shove, will get you there no matter what the weather and terrain will throw at you. A bit like having a watch that will dive to great depths but never going deeper than your local swimming pool, I guess. For others it is about originality. Making sure their Land Rover is as it came out the factory, and sometimes better. Attending classic shows to display their efforts. Others it is about getting out and about. Exploring the tracks of the United Kingdom and sleeping under canvas. Attending shows around the country and meeting with like minded people over a BBQ and, more often than not, a cold chilled beverage.
No matter how you live your best Land Rover Life, we hope that you will find something of interest in our group / website. Our plan is to update the Website with a monthly blog – each team member taking turns. We will also publish stories and technical information on a regular basis too. A bit like a free online magazine if you will.
Our group is none profit making, all money made from merchandise and the club shop (Coming Soon) will go to running the club. We all do what we do for the love of the vehicles and the community.
If you wish to contribute an article, we would be happy to hear from you. It is great when community members take part in our activities, and we have made many friends over the years by doing this.
